At edge co-working, we love our members sooooooo much! There’s nothing better than getting to know the amazing women and men who have decided to join our tribe of career-minded community members.
Today we're thrilled to introduce the newest edge'r, Scott. That's right, dudes can cowork with us, too. He's also a member of the edge energy exchange. What's that? Read up.
In addition to your exchanger gig, what do you do for work?
I recently joined FocalShift Media, a Portales, NM based marketing and creative agency. I previously worked as the marketing and social media manager at Clovis Community College from 2012 through most of 2017.
What is your favorite thing about the coworking experience?
Coworking offers a nice change of scenery and a destination to go and focus on work. I can be productive at home, but making work a destination helps me get in a proper mindset for focus and productivity. Plus, coworking offers a social aspect that you just don't get when you work from home.
What made you take the plunge & apply to be an exchanger?
Edge's energy exchange program is uniquely generous and made me consider how I could contribute to coworking in my community rather than just being a member. I've been intrigued with coworking since I first heard about it around 2011 on podcasts and in the book "The Whuffie Factor" by Tara Hunt.
What did you do last weekend?
Housework, R&R, and hosted a sleepover for some of my son's friends, so the night was all about pizza, PlayStation, and climbing at Clovis Rock Gym.
What's your favorite productivity tool?
Slack, without a doubt. [editor's note: SAAAAAAAMMMEE.]
Last song you played (or that Pandora/Spotify chose for you)
"The New Wine" by Saul Williams
Where are you from?
I claim Clovis, New Mexico (by way of Cannon AFB). My father retired from the US Air Force here in 1990.
